Rachel's story
Rachel lives a simple life with her family in a town of Concepcion, Iloilo. She is 38 years old and has one child. She and her husband earn a living through fishing. They have been in this livelihood for three years. Meanwhile, Rachel also buys and resells seaweed for additional income.
She is now requesting for a loan of PHP14, 000 through Kiva’s field partner CEV, (A Microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use this loan for additional capital to buy seaweeds to resell.
That way, she and her husband will improve their livelihood for a better means of living.
