Farming

A loan helped to purchase farm inputs, such as hybrid seeds and fertilizer, and pay for hired labor, so this single mom can ensure her children a good future.

Phyllis's story

Meet Phyllis, a single mother of four. She is a very hard worker and a go-getter. She hails from a remote village in the Limuru area of Kenya. This area has tough living conditions, and to survive, one must have a tough skin. But Phyllis has defied all the odds and engaged in farming for the past six years. Her primary sources of income are poultry, vegetables and other crops, and animal farming.

Phyllis is seeking a loan of 50,000 KES, which she will use to purchase farm inputs and pay for hired labor in order to grow more crops on her horticulture farm.

It takes a lot for a smallholder farmer to risk limited resources to expand a farm business. With your help, Phyllis will be able to manage the high cost of farm inputs necessary for expansion. A significant portion of the profit will be put back into the business to fuel growth as she sets a good foundation for her children.

Phyllis is really thankful in advance for your attention and help. Support this happy mother and lend now.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
