Farming

A loan helped to purchase supplies and apply them to her crops.

Oneida Maritza's story

Oneida is 32 years old, a single mother, has 5 children, and lives with her children in a community of the municipality of Yoro, Yoro. For 11 years, she has worked growing coffee, yucca, and basic grains such as corn and beans, which is the source of income for her family. She sells the yield in the same zone. Previously, she worked at the household tasks.

She wants to invest in her crops and is asking for a loan, for the amount of 8,000 lempiras, to purchase supplies and apply them to her crops. With this, she expects to offer her crops good care to get better harvests. Her plan is to purchase more land to continue cultivating, give her children a better education and remodel her house.

This loan is special because:

It supports single mothers raising families on very little income.
