An Un'SUN'g Hero

An Un'SUN'g Hero

Feel Good Friday

Provence, in the southern Mediterranean region of France, sees over 300 days of sunshine per year.  The local way of life has been guided by the sun and continues to radiate in all its glory…

The region is beaming with fields of sun-inspired flowers...

And the Provencal heritage celebrates the souleiado (a symbol meaning “the sun’s rays shining through a cloud after the rain”).

This un’SUN’g hero has formed the radiant Provencal culture and traveler Debbie wanted to shine some light on it too…

"I just love the beautiful shades of blue contrasted with creamy white in this fabric purchased at the Saturday market in Apt from a "tissu" (the French word for "fabric") vendor. The panels of sunflowers, olive branches and souleiados reflect images seen all over Provence. The countryside is full of fields of sunflowers and lavender, and olive trees are everywhere.”

Here’s to this un'SUN'g hero and to feeling good—because after all, it's Friday!

PS. Plus a few more fabrics from other sun-kissed countries around the world...
